I don't need monthly financial reports. What are my options?
We also offer quarterly and annual financial reporting frequencies. For small charities that don't need frequent financial reports but would like to know where they stand before year-end, we also offer a twice-a-year service at 8-months and year-end.
What's the difference between Fixed Fee Service Packages and Custom Fixed Fee Agreements?
Both are fixed-fee agreements—so, your costs are stable and known. Fixed Fee Service Packages group frequently requested levels of service into one simple-to-understand offering.
Need a different combo? Fixed Fee Service Packages can be tweaked into Custom Fixed Fee Agreements according to your particular needs and wants.
What are Other Services?
Other Services for Charities are administrative or consulting services for Canadian registered charities and may have elements of bookkeeping, accounting, fundraising analysis and database management blended together to meet the specific needs of smaller organizations. The scope and duration of each engagement will be unique in most instances.
Are hourly rates available?
Bookkeeping and payroll services by the hour, both at the client's location or at Billings Bookkeeping's premises are available.
Can the bookkeeping be done at our offices?
Yes, we can travel to your offices and do the work on-site. Additional charges apply.
Which is better: a fixed fee agreement or hourly rate services?
Fixed fee agreements average out costs and are best suited to regular recurring bookkeeping and payroll situations. Cost averaging also leads to lower overall costs. Hourly services are best suited to changing and variable levels of service and can be a cost-effective option for one-time projects.
What is two-way classification of expenses on the T3010 Return?
Expenditures incurred by registered charities must be reported on the Registered Charity Information Return (T3010) according to both their program function and their nature. Some charities do not report these expenditures correctly and would benefit from seeking expert help with their data compilation.
I only need one or two financial reports. What are my options?
Individual Financial Reports can be provided à la carte. Management reports and specialty reports can be produced for a separate fee.
I've just taken on the role of Treasurer. Can I get help with Financial Reporting to my charity's Board?
Taking on the role of treasurer can be a challenge for volunteer board members. Billings Bookkeeping can prepare a presentation summary containing key observations of the financial reports to help novice treasurers prepare their financial report to their board.
